The Corporation for Economic Development in Des Moines (CEDDM) is a 30-year old local 501-C3 non-profit corporation directed by an 18-member board of directors comprised of local small business owners, realtors, bankers, accountants, lawyers and representatives of community organizations.
CEDDM is a Certified Development Company under the Small Business Investment Act of 1958 as amended, and is certified to originate loans under the 504 Program and administer the City of Des Moines’ Revolving Loan Fund and Microloan Programs.
We have been financing business growth in the City of Des Moines and the Greater Des Moines area since 1981. Since that time, we have approved 144 projects worth $42.6 million through the 504 Loan program, leveraging over $106.5 million in private investment and creating or retaining 1,775 jobs. Additionally, CEDDM has approved 126 small business development loans totaling $1.27 million funded from the City of Des Moines Community Development Block Grant Program. These small business loans leveraged over $14.3 million in private investment and created and retained 285 jobs.
